I live within a 5 min walk of a major Westfield shopping centre and in the past I could have easily have spent 2 hours there when I just needed a couple of things. If I needed time out from Mr A and Miss A I would often go there just to wander about.
However, over the last few weeks, the few times I have visited the shopping centre I have become easily annoyed by the crowds and the lack of social distancing. Each time I have left within 45 minutes.
I have wandered what the effect of the COVID-19 isolation has had on me. I am an introvert and I didn’t have a huge social life but now I am even more content to stay at home.
I knew I probably wasn’t alone in these thoughts but was reassured when I saw this headline yesterday.
Feeling overwhelmed by returning to the ‘normal’ world? You’re not alone
It is always nice to know you are not alone.
What effect has the enforced isolation had on you? Was it expected or not?
