Today I continued planning for Miss A’s 2nd birthday. We have decided on an owl theme this year as she really likes them and they are cute. Also, Mr A suggested it may be easier to make an owl cake than a Peppa Pig cake (my other suggested theme). Last year’s theme was the hungry caterpillar.
So trying to find a ‘free’ image of an owl to use for the invitation was proving more difficult than I thought it ought to until I remembered to search for creative commons images. This led me to a website I had never seen or heard of before Pixabay. It was easy to search, clear to display the rights of the image I found, easy to sign up and before long I had a very pink cute owl image to use for Miss A’s invitation.

It has been a very long time since I have had the need to search for images but if I ever do again I will remember Pixabay. I think I will also upload some of my images to the site for others to use. Has anybody else used Pixabay? What sites to people use these days for copyright free or creative commons licensed images?
