On the third day of Christmas

On the third day of Christmas I had a quiet day.

My parents who are visiting went out in the morning and hubby (Mr A) and I took Miss A to Toddler Time at the library. Mr A has been taking Miss A on Mondays for most weeks since June and I take her occasionally on a Friday and she really enjoys it. That and running around the library causing chaos afterwards. She rarely sits still during it, and doesn’t do a lot of the actions when we are there (as she is too busy exploring everything and everybody in the room or dancing) but she does take them in.  She loves ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ and ‘Row Row Row Your Boat’ but ‘Galumph went the little green frog‘ is one of her latest favourites and we have to sing it every time she brings her toy frogs to us. I also knew I had to sing ‘Little Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose’ when she brought me her Peter Rabbit rattle and touched her nose. Thank you Babies Books and Rhyme and Toddler Time at the library for expanding our nursery rhyme repertoire. When Miss A was born all I could remember was ‘Heads and Shoulders’ and only part of it at that.

The rest of the day was spent lazing around the house and napping. Well after a quick trip to the shops for milk and a brief but unsuccessful hunt for new shorts. I may check out the sales another day but I have no burning desire to spend up big this year.
